Marine Suction Check Valve

Marine Suction Check Valve

Material of Main Parts:

Valve body / suction inlet: Cast iron / cast brass / stainless steel

Sealing ring: NBR

Valve stem: Silicon bronze / stainless steel

Valve disc: Cast brass / stainless steel

Overview

Application Medium:

The application scope is limited to the ship piping system. It is prohibited to be used in high-temperature steam, highly corrosive chemical media, and nuclear industry scenarios. This standard is applicable to the following media:

Crude oil and refined oil products

Seawater (salinity ≤ 35‰)

Freshwater (hardness ≤ 450mg/L)

Main Parameters:

Nominal Diameter: DN32~DN250

Nominal Pressure: 1.0MPa

Pressure Test:

Strength: The suction check valve should have no leakage under a test pressure of 0.2 MPa. The test medium and duration shall conform to GB/T600.

Sealing: The suction check valve should have no leakage under a test pressure of 0.2 MPa. The test medium and duration shall conform to GB/T600.

Structure and Working Principle:

This is an automatic valve that does not require manual or electrical power to operate. The valve disc (the actuating component) moves based on its own weight and the pressure difference caused by the flow of the medium.

Opening: When the medium flows from the inlet end (below) in a forward direction, the pressure will push the valve disc open, allowing the medium to pass through.

Closing: When the pressure at the inlet end drops or the medium flows in the reverse direction, the valve disc, under the action of its own weight and the reverse medium pressure, will quickly fall back onto the valve seat, cutting off the flow and preventing backflow.
