Marine Sounding Self-closing Valve is a specialized marine valve installed on ship tank sounding systems to provide safe and controlled access for liquid level measurement.

The valve is normally installed at the upper end of sounding pipes connected to fuel tanks, oil tanks, water tanks, and other shipboard storage tanks.

During sounding operations, the valve can be manually opened to allow measurement equipment to enter the sounding pipe. After measurement, the self-closing mechanism automatically returns the valve to the closed position, preventing fuel leakage, vapor release, and foreign matter entering the tank system.
