Marine Ball Valve

Marine Ball Valve

Marine Ball Valve is a specialized marine valve designed for reliable fluid control and shut-off in ship piping systems, offshore facilities, and marine engineering applications.Featuring a quarter-turn rotating ball design, Marine Ball Valve provides quick operation, low flow resistance, and dependable sealing performance for various marine media, including seawater, fresh water, fuel oil, air, and other fluids.

  • Saltwater corrosion

  • High humidity

  • Continuous operation

  • Mechanical vibration

  • Limited installation conditions

Marine Ball Valves are widely used in critical marine systems such as:

  • Seawater cooling systems

  • Ballast water systems

  • Fuel oil pipelines

  • Freshwater systems

  • Fire protection systems

  • Engine room piping

  • Marine auxiliary systems

Overview

Working Principle:

Marine Ball Valve is a quarter-turn valve designed to control and isolate fluid flow in marine piping systems. The valve uses a spherical ball with a central flow passage. By rotating the ball 90 degrees through the handle or actuator, the valve can quickly switch between open and closed positions. The simple operating mechanism provides reliable flow control with low operating torque and excellent sealing performance.

Open Position:When the valve is opened, the internal passage of the ball aligns with the pipeline. The fluid can pass through the valve with minimal flow resistance, ensuring efficient system operation.

  • Smooth fluid flow

  • Low pressure loss

  • Reduced energy consumption

  • Stable pipeline operation

Closed Position:When the ball rotates 90 degrees, the flow passage becomes perpendicular to the pipeline. The ball blocks fluid movement and provides reliable shut-off performance.

  • Effective isolation

  • Reduced leakage risk

  • Safe pipeline maintenance

  • Reliable system protection
