JIS Marine Fire Hydrant Valve

JIS Marine Fire Hydrant Valve

The JIS Marine Fire Hydrant Valve is a critical valve for marine fire-fighting systems, designed and manufactured in strict accordance with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). Installed on shipboard fire-fighting piping networks to control the water supply, it works in conjunction with fire hoses, nozzles, and other equipment to form a complete fire-extinguishing system. These valves are widely used on ocean-going cargo ships, fishing vessels, engineering vessels, oil tankers, and offshore oil platforms.

Overview

This product range covers two major standard systems: JIS F7333 (cast iron/bronze) and JIS F7334 (bronze), and is available in two configurations—straight-through (Type A) and angle (Type B)—to meet the installation requirements of different pipework layouts.

Core Standard Systems

JIS F7334 Series (Bronze Valves)

Material: The valve body is made of bronze, whilst the disc is made of bronze or brass, offering excellent resistance to seawater corrosion.

Available sizes: DN15 – DN65; sizes DN15–25 are also known in the industry as ‘hose valves’.

Configurations: Type A straight-type, Type B angle-type

JIS F7333 Series (Cast Iron Valves)

Material: Valve body and bonnet made of cast iron HT200; disc and seat made of aluminium bronze QAL9-21, offering a balance of strength and corrosion resistance

Available sizes: Larger sizes such as DN50 and DN65

Configuration: Type A straight-type, Type B angle-type, suitable for Japanese-standard marine fire-fighting pipework

Key Technical Parameters

Pressure Rating: 5K / 10K

Nominal Diameter: DN15 – DN65 (F7334); DN50 – DN65 (F7333)

Connection Type: JIS standard flanges (JIS B2220)

Suitable Media: Seawater, fresh water, steam, oils, air

Operating Temperature: -10°C to 80°C (standard); certain models can operate within a higher temperature range

Key Product Advantages

Corrosion-resistant and durable: Bronze/cast iron valve bodies combined with aluminium bronze internal components ensure resistance to corrosion during long-term use in marine environments characterised by high salt spray and high humidity.

Reliable sealing: Features a soft-seal design, ensuring tight shut-off without leakage; manual operation is effortless, and routine maintenance is straightforward.

Comprehensive Certification: Certificates from leading classification societies such as ABS, BV, CCS, LR and RINA are available, meeting the survey requirements for new shipbuilding and vessel maintenance.

Complete Range of Sizes: Covers common sizes from DN15 to DN65, with dual pressure ratings of 5K and 10K; standard sizes are available for rapid delivery.
