JIS Marine Ball Valve
JIS Marine Ball Valve is a specialized valve designed according to Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and widely used in shipbuilding, marine piping systems, and offshore applications. Designed for reliable fluid control in marine environments, JIS Marine Ball Valves provide excellent sealing performance, corrosion resistance, and easy operation for various shipboard systems. Compared with general industrial ball valves, JIS Marine Ball Valves are developed specifically for marine applications where valves need to withstand:
Seawater corrosion
High humidity
Continuous operation
Mechanical vibration
Limited installation space
Overview
Working Principle
JIS Marine Ball Valve operates through a rotating ball mechanism to control fluid flow. The valve uses a spherical ball with a flow passage inside. When the handle is rotated 90 degrees, the ball changes position to allow or stop fluid movement.
Open Position : The internal passage of the ball aligns with the pipeline, allowing fluid to pass through with minimal flow resistance.
Closed Position : The ball rotates perpendicular to the pipeline, blocking the flow and providing reliable shut-off performance.
This quarter-turn structure provides:
Fast operation
Simple control
Low operating torque
Reliable sealing
Pressure Testing
Valve body strength
Sealing performance
Leakage prevention
