Three Ways to Fit in 

Here’s where the F7480 becomes a chameleon. Not all pipes are created equal, so we give you three connection personalities:

1. Wafer Type — The “Credit Card” Valve

Slim, light, and sandwiched directly between two standard flanges (JIS B2220). No threaded holes on the valve itself — you simply insert long bolts right through both flanges and the valve body. It’s the minimalist’s dream.
Perfect for: tight spaces, budget-conscious jobs, and quick installations where the line can be depressurised from both sides.

Fast facts (Wafer, 5K):

• Sizes from DN50 (43 mm thick, only 7.8 kg) up to DN400 (102 mm thick, 220 kg).

• A DN100 wafer valve weighs just 18 kg — one person can heft it into place.

• Bolt pattern for DN50: four 15 mm holes on a 105 mm circle. For DN400: sixteen 25 mm holes on a 495 mm circle.

10K version grows slightly in flange diameter to handle the extra pressure, but keeps the same feather-light DNA. For example, a 10K DN150 uses eight 25 mm bolts on a 240 mm circle, still only 35 kg.

2. Lug Type — The “Dead-End” Specialist

Imagine a wafer valve that grew threaded metal ears. Those ears (lugs) let you bolt the valve to one flange at a time, without needing a second flange on the opposite side. This means you can disconnect one side of the pipeline while the other side stays live and sealed — a maintenance superhero.
Perfect for: systems that need partial isolation, end-of-line service, or when you’re connecting to equipment that doesn’t have a mating flange.

Fast facts (Lug, 5K):

• Same inner geometry as Wafer, but with threaded inserts. A DN50 uses four M12 bolts; a DN400 uses sixteen M22 bolts.

• Because you eliminate half the flange hardware, the bare valve is often lighter. The 5K DN400 Lug valve weighs just 80 kg.

• 10K sizes step up thread sizes appropriately — DN300 goes from M20 to M22, keeping everything rock-solid.

3. Double Flanged Type — The “Set-and-Forget” Tank

When you want absolute rigidity and zero fuss about alignment, you go Double Flanged. This valve has full, flat circular flanges on both ends, drilled to match your pipe flanges bolt-for-bolt. Simply gasket up, bolt up, and sleep soundly.
Perfect for: heavy industrial plants, ship engine rooms, and anywhere vibration or pipe movement could challenge a weaker connection.

Fast facts (Double Flanged, 5K & 10K):

• Available from DN125 to DN350.

• The face-to-face length is longer to give you a solid sealing area (100–120 mm).

• Mixed bolt patterns — a combination of through-holes and tapped holes — mean you can align with almost any JIS flange setup. For instance, a 10K DN200 has four M20 tapped holes plus eight 23 mm through holes, ensuring a rigid, leak-free marriage.

A Little Help from Your Handle or Gearbox

All three types can be operated by a manual handle (for smaller sizes) or a worm gear (for larger valves, making a DN400 disc turn as easily as stirring honey). The gearbox multiplies your hand’s torque, so even the 220 kg giant obeys a gentle wrist motion. It’s all about effortless control — no power needed, just you.
