1. Product Overview & Application
The JIS F 7218 sight glass is a cylindrical flow sight glass designed for installation in water pipe systems and lubricating oil pipe systems in ship engine rooms. It allows visual confirmation of fluid flow and condition through a cylindrical glass element, and is manufactured in accordance with JIS F 7218:2020 – Shipbuilding—Cylindrical sight glasses.

4. Dimensions Specification
Dimensions and construction are in accordance with Figure 1 of JIS F 7218:2020, with a tolerance for the body wall thickness a of -10 % to +15 %.
Flange dimensions conform to JIS B 2239, nominal pressure 5K.
Thread dimensions for the cylindrical glass retainer d₃ conform to JIS B 0205-1, JIS B 0205-2, JIS B 0205-3 and JIS B 0205-4.
