Overview
1. SCOPE
This standard specifies the tube glass type level gauges with 5K valves (hereafter referred to as "level gauges") used for water tanks, oil tanks on vessels not subject to SOLAS, and low-pressure vessels, with a maximum working pressure of 0.49 MPa.

3. TYPES
The types of level gauges are classified into the following 5 types according to the shape of the upper body: Type A (for steel pipe), Type A' (for copper pipe), Type B, Type C, and Type D.

6. INSPECTION
The inspection of level gauges shall be carried out in accordance with JIS F 7400, performing the following tests a) to e):
a) Material inspection
b) External appearance inspection
c) Dimensional inspection
d) Assembly inspection
e) Hydraulic test at the following test pressures:
Water pressure test for upper body, lower body, and valve body: 0.75 MPa
Seat water leakage test: 0.55 MPa
