JIS F3056 Marine Foot Valve

It is typically installed vertically at the end of the suction pipe and submerged below the liquid surface. Its core function is to prevent liquid in the suction pipe from flowing back into the tank or water source after the pump stops operating, thus ensuring the piping system is always "full" so that the pump can start normally at any time and avoids "cavitation" failures caused by air intake.
