GB Marine Ball Valve

GB Marine Ball Valve

GB Marine Ball Valve is a marine valve designed according to Chinese National Standards (GB) and widely used in shipbuilding, marine engineering, and vessel piping systems.GB Marine Ball Valves are commonly installed in vessels and marine systems requiring reliable pipeline control for different fluids, including:

  • Seawater

  • Fresh water

  • Cooling water

  • Fuel oil

  • Air

  • Other marine fluids

Compared with general industrial ball valves, GB Marine Ball Valves are developed specifically for marine applications and are suitable for shipboard environments with:

  • High humidity

  • Saltwater exposure

  • Mechanical vibration

  • Long-term operation

GB Marine Ball Valves are widely applied in:

  • Commercial ships

  • Cargo vessels

  • Fishing vessels

  • Marine equipment

  • Ship repair projects

  • Offshore facilities

Overview

Working Principle:

GB Marine Ball Valve controls fluid flow through a rotating ball structure inside the valve body. The internal ball contains a flow passage. By rotating the ball 90 degrees, the valve can quickly open or close the pipeline.

Open Position:When the ball passage aligns with the pipeline:

  • Fluid flows through the valve

  • Flow resistance is minimized

  • System efficiency is maintained

Closed Position:When the ball rotates perpendicular to the pipeline:

  • Fluid passage is blocked

  • Pipeline isolation is achieved

  • Leakage risk is reduced

The quarter-turn structure provides:

  • Fast operation

  • Easy control

  • Low operating torque

  • Reliable sealing

Main Components of GB Marine Ball Valve:

ComponentFunction
Valve BodyProvides structural strength and pressure resistance
BallControls fluid flow through rotation
Valve StemTransfers operating force to the ball
Valve SeatProvides sealing performance
HandleControls opening and closing operation
Sealing ComponentsPrevent fluid leakage
