DIN Marine SDNR Valve

DIN Marine SDNR Valve

Pre-shipment inspections of marine DIN globe check valves must strictly comply with pressure testing, design and manufacturing requirements, and classification society regulations. The core inspection items include four mandatory checks: external dimensions, body strength, sealing performance, and markings. Each of our finished products must pass these inspections and be accompanied by a certificate of compliance.

Overview

‌Appearance and Dimensions Inspection‌:

The valve body and flange surfaces must be free of casting defects such as cracks and shrinkage cavities;

Critical installation dimensions (constructional length, flanges) and thread accuracy must comply with the tolerances specified in the drawings; the valve must open and close smoothly without jamming; the anti-corrosion coating must be uniform and intact.

‌Body Strength Test‌:

The test medium is water; the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure (PN) (e.g., for PN16, the test pressure is 2.4 MPa). The pressure is maintained for ≥5 minutes; the body and stuffing box must show no leakage or structural damage.

‌Seal Performance Test‌:

‌Seat Seal‌: Close the valve and apply a pressure of 1.1 times PN to the inlet; the allowable leakage rate at the outlet must comply with the corresponding class (typically requiring zero leakage or minimal seepage). Bidirectional seals must be tested in both directions.

‌Upper Seal Test‌ (if applicable): With the valve fully open, pressurize the valve cavity to 1.1 times PN and verify that there is no external leakage at the stem packing.

‌Marking and Documentation Verification‌:

The permanent markings on the valve body must clearly include DN, PN, material code, flow direction arrow, manufacturer’s name, and standard number;

Material certificates, pressure test records, and classification society certificates (such as CCS/DNV-approved) must be provided with the shipment.
