DIN Marine Ball Valve
DIN Marine Ball Valve is a marine valve designed according to German Industrial Standards (DIN) and widely used in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, and marine piping systems.
Designed for reliable fluid control in marine environments, DIN Marine Ball Valves provide excellent sealing performance, corrosion resistance, and stable operation for various shipboard applications.
DIN Marine Ball Valves are commonly selected for vessels and marine projects that require standardized dimensions, reliable connection design, and consistent performance.
DIN Marine Ball Valves are widely used in:
Seawater cooling systems
Ballast water systems
Fuel oil pipelines
Freshwater systems
Fire protection pipelines
Marine auxiliary equipment
Overview
Working Principle
DIN Marine Ball Valve controls fluid flow through a rotating spherical ball installed inside the valve body. The ball contains a flow passage that allows or blocks fluid movement according to the valve position.
Open Position : When the handle is rotated to align the ball passage with the pipeline
Fluid flows through the valve
Pressure loss is minimized
Pipeline operation remains stable
Closed Position : When the ball rotates 90 degrees
The flow passage becomes perpendicular to the pipeline
Fluid flow is completely isolated
Reliable shut-off is achieved
The quarter-turn structure provides:
Fast operation
Simple control
Low operating torque
Reliable sealing performance
