Product Performance Features

Coarse Filtration Protection: Intercepts cloth strips, cotton yarn, oil sludge, sediment, and solid debris, protecting the downstream bilge pump and pipelines from blockage and damage. It is a pipeline coarse filter.

Carbon Steel Body + Galvanized Corrosion Resistance: High-strength carbon steel with impact resistance; hot-dip galvanizing enhances resistance to seawater corrosion in marine environments, suitable for the humid and salty environment of ship engine rooms; lighter and more impact-resistant than cast iron.

Easy Maintenance: A quick-opening bolt cover at the top allows for easy removal of the filter plate for cleaning without disassembling the pipeline; a bottom plug allows for direct discharge of settled sludge, simplifying maintenance.

Low Flow Resistance: Large flow area minimizes pipeline pressure loss during filtration, ensuring adequate bilge water suction capacity.

Optional Types: Straight-through type and angle type (right-angle mud box) are available to accommodate different pipeline layouts in the engine room; OEM non-standard customized sizes and filter screen pore sizes are supported.

Applications and Scenarios

Core Application: Installed on the bilge water suction pipes of ship engine rooms and shaft tunnels, it serves as a pre-filter for the bilge water system, preventing solid impurities from entering the suction pipe and bilge pump, preventing pump impeller wear and pipe blockage, and ensuring the reliable operation of the bilge drainage system.

Supporting Systems: Ship bilge water system, seawater suction pipes, some ballast water, and fire-fighting water suction pipes.

Applicable Objects: All types of seagoing vessels, inland waterway vessels, and offshore platforms; suitable for new shipbuilding and ship repair and modification projects.

Structural Types

Angle Type Mud Box: Inlet and outlet are at a 90° right angle; most commonly used, suitable for right-angle bilge suction port pipe layouts, corresponding to CB/T3198 standard B/BS type.

Straight-through Mud Box: Inlet and outlet are arranged coaxially in a straight line; used for straight pipe sections
