Bronze Marine Deck Valves are installed on all exposed deck piping systems where corrosion immunity and spark‑free safety are paramount:
Seawater Cooling and Fire Main Systems: Hydrant isolation valves, foam concentrate valves, and fire pump sea suction valves; bronze is mandatory for fire main valves on many naval and high‑specification merchant vessels.

Dezincification‑Resistant (DZR) Brass (e.g., CuZn36Pb2As, CW602N): Specified where the fluid is less aggressive but marine atmosphere resistance is required. Cost‑effective for fuel oil, lubricating oil, and air services.
Trim (Disc, Seat Ring, Gate, Ball):
Seating surfaces are renewable and precision‑lapped from bronze, stainless steel (AISI 316), or Monel for positive metal‑to‑metal shutoff.
Soft‑seat inserts of EPDM, NBR, PTFE, or FKM are available for bubble‑tight closure on clean fluids.

Valve Height & Deck Operating Clearance:
The overall height from the deck flange face to the top of the handwheel (or gearbox handwheel) is designed for comfortable standing operation, typically 800 mm to 1000 mm for smaller sizes, and with a gearbox for larger sizes.
For larger sizes and higher pressures, a fully enclosed, grease‑filled bevel gearbox is supplied, with the gearbox handwheel positioned at a convenient working height.
Deck Penetration Interface:
The integrally cast base flange is dimensioned identically to the pipe connection flange, providing a uniform gasket seating surface. It bolts to the deck penetration flange using a full‑face EPDM, NBR, or PTFE gasket and stainless steel studs/nuts to create a permanent watertight seal.
