Fire Main and Foam Systems: Large‑diameter deck isolation valves for fire pumps, monitors, and deluge systems, often in sizes up to DN 600 and Class 300.

2. Material Specifications
All materials are selected in strict accordance with applicable international material standards (ASTM, EN, JIS, GB) and are verified by EN 10204 Type 3.1 certification:
Body & Bonnet (Cast Steel Grades):
ASTM A216 Grade WCB: The standard carbon steel casting for valves up to Class 600 and temperatures from -29 °C to +425 °C. Excellent weldability and widely available.
EN 1.0619 (GP240GH): European equivalent for pressure‑containing steel castings, per EN 10213.
JIS SCPH2: Japanese standard carbon steel casting for pressure parts, per JIS G5152.
GB ZG230‑450: Chinese standard cast steel, per GB/T 11352.
For low‑temperature service (down to -46 °C), ASTM A352 LCC or EN 1.0566 (G20Mn5) is supplied. For high‑temperature creep‑resistant applications, alloy steels such as ASTM A217 WC6/WC9 are available.
Corrosion Protection System:
All external surfaces are blast‑cleaned to SA 2½ (near‑white metal) and coated with a multi‑layer marine protection system: a zinc‑rich epoxy primer (providing cathodic protection), followed by a high‑build amine‑cured epoxy intermediate coat and an aliphatic polyurethane topcoat resistant to UV and salt spray. Total dry film thickness is typically 250–350 µm.
Alternatively, for valves up to DN 150, hot‑dip galvanizing to ISO 1461 can be applied, metallurgically bonding a zinc layer to the steel.
Trim (Disc, Seat Ring, Gate, Ball):
Seating surfaces are manufactured from corrosion‑resistant materials: stainless steel (AISI 410, 316), Monel, or hard‑faced with Stellite for high‑temperature steam and erosive services. All trim is renewable.
Soft‑seat inserts of PTFE, reinforced EPDM, or FKM are available for bubble‑tight closure on clean fluids.
Stem: Stainless steel (AISI 410 or 316) with an external acme thread (rising stem) for clear visual position indication. The stem is polished and surface‑treated for low friction and long packing life.
Packing & Weather Sealing: Deep stuffing box packed with multiple rings of graphite (for high temperature and fire‑safe) or PTFE. An external O‑ring and wiper ring prevent water, salt, and dust ingress. Grease fittings allow in‑situ lubrication.
Fasteners: All external bolting (bonnet, gland, flange) is stainless steel (AISI 316 or A4‑80) to prevent atmospheric corrosion.

Valve Height & Deck Operating Clearance:
The overall height from the deck flange face to the top of the handwheel (or gearbox handwheel) is designed for comfortable standing operation, typically 800 mm to 1200 mm.
For large sizes and high pressures, a fully enclosed, grease‑filled bevel gearbox is supplied, with the gearbox handwheel positioned at a convenient working height.
Deck Penetration Interface:
The integrally cast or fabricated deck base flange is dimensioned identically to the pipe connection flange, providing a uniform gasket seating surface. It bolts to the deck penetration flange using a full‑face EPDM, NBR, or PTFE gasket and stainless steel studs/nuts to create a permanent watertight seal.
All bolt circle diameters, bolt hole sizes, and flange thicknesses are held to the exact tolerances of the applicable flange standard.
